Ron Ferber

President & CEO

Ron Ferber has served as our President and Chief Executive Officer since October 2015.He was the original investor in Wellsense and has served as a Board member since its founding. Ron is a uniquely talented entrepreneur with a proven track record of success.

Ron co-founded HoMedics in 1987 where he served as President for 28 years. In 2011 he founded myCharge, a leader in the portable charging category. He has since launched many successful companies and continues to bring innovation and emerging technologies to the market. Ron also has many philanthropic endeavors including an organization close to his heart, The Friendship Circle, which he has been involved with since its infancy and continues to be an active member. Ron is a graduate of the University of Michigan.

 


 

Moty Lev

Moty Lev serves as our Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Wellsense, he served at HoMedics Inc. from 2000 to 2013, the final four years as Chief Operating Officer. Since 2010, he has also served as CEO of Levaqua, a startup company that he founded, in the field of digital shower-heads. He has founded and has served as President of Sidus Technologies Inc. since 1995. Moty received a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, Cum laude with Dean’s Honors.

Kristen Thurman

VP of Clinical Affairs

Kristen Thurman serves as our Vice President of Clinical Affairs. She has over 17 years of clinical, management and sales experience in wound care across all care settings. During her clinical practice, she developed a multidisciplinary team approach to wound care and implemented numerous innovative technologies at Banner Health in Arizona. As a key employee of Celleration, she held increasing roles of responsibility in Clinical Consulting and Sales.

Kristen is actively involved in the American Physical Therapy Association, Section on Clinical Electrophysiology and Wound Management and is a Panel member of the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (NPUAP) and the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC). Additionally, she is published on wound care and pressure ulcer prevention. She is a Certified Wound Specialist though the American Board of Wound Management and holds a Master in Physical Therapy from Hahnemann (Drexel) University.

 


 

Yoel Raab

Yoel Raab serves as our Vice President of Research & Development. Prior to joining Wellsense, from 2007 until 2014, he was the Chief Technology Officer of Powermat Technologies, Ltd., a leader in wireless charging. Prior to that, from 2006 until 2007, he served as Vice President of Research & Development at Magink, a start-up company developing large scale reflective LC displays for outdoor advertising.

Yoel had spent almost 20 years working for Intel in technical, development and management engineering positions including: device characterization, design for manufacturing, quality and reliability. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. Degree in Applied Physics, Microelectronics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

 


 

Kathy Gunn

Director of Marketing

Kathy Gunn serves as our Director of Marketing. She has over 11 years of experience within Rx, OTC and Medical Device markets. Roles throughout her career include: Sales, Product Management, Key Accounts and Marketing Management. She has a proven track record of success in the creation and execution of brand strategies, receiving multiple awards for her work.

Prior to her current role, Kathy was Director of Marketing with a division of the Ferndale Pharma Group. Kathy is an alumna of Alpha Chi Omega, a member of the IHI/National Patient Safety Coalition and actively involved in Angels of Hope: a Family Cancer Foundation where she is a Volunteer Committee Member. She received her B.Sc. degree in Biomedical Sciences and Chemistry from Western Michigan University and holds an M.B.A. from the DeVos Graduate School at Northwood University.
